  • 2   whole Chiquita Bananas (best with brown flecks on peel)
  • 3   cups Ice
  • 1   cup Milk OR Vanilla Yogurt

Instructions for:

Pour all ingredients in blender pouring ice in last. Blend on high for 30 seconds or until banana smoothie thickens.

    Tweaked the recipe just a little. 1 banana. 1 1/2 cup ice. Half cup milk. Half cup orange juice. 1 tsp of vanilla. 1/4 cup sugar. Amazing!

    My bf and I made this. 2 big bananas, 2 cups of ice and 1 cup of milk. It made three 12oz glasses. We also added a bit of sugar to taste.

    If you want a sweet drink for a fun day with the kids add 1/2 cup of sugar if you are. wanting a healthy breakfast drink no sugar!! I added vinnila extract 1 tsp. to both :-)

    I recrememd to use the milk than the yogurt because the yogurt is too sweat and so is the bannana so for me that's just alittle too sweat and I love sugar plus try to use the least sweatend bannana and use brown sugar thx

    This is yummy but needed to be tweaked. For one serving I used 1 banana, 1 cup of ice, 1 6oz of plain homemade yogurt, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a drizzle of honey for sweetness. SO GOOD!

    We used 2C Greek Vanilla yogurt, 4 bananas and 2C ice. The bananas were very spotted (my teen said they were too gross to eat) and it turned out terrific!. The teenager loved it and so did our almost teen who absolutely hates to try anything new. I love that the nutrition info is right there also. I can't wait to have the grandkids over to try it!. Thanks :D

    Just had one full to the max 2 bananas is enough for four and i also added icecreeam i like mine thick lots! Dont use green or unripe bananas as you will get that bitter taste coming through also add lots of ice keeping it cold is much nicer i did enjoy this would have it again!! Yum yum

    For those commenting on the calories it says "per serving" The recipe makes two servings so you divide the 360 by 2 to get 180 calories.

    to 180 calories- If you look, the recipe says it makes 2 servings. 110 per banana, 140 for yogurt and you have 360 total. Divide that by two and you have 180 calories per serving.

    180 Calories??
    I don't mean to nag, but I don't get how the calorie count is only 180 calories when 1 Chiquita Banana is already 110 calories, as per the calorie count on this website. So with that in mind, the calories should be more like 300 - 350 calories (depending on whether you use skim milk, whole milk, or yoghurt). However, the recipes on this website look great and I'm definitely giving them a try. I just wished they'd be more truthful about the calorie count.

    I was looking for a banana smoothie and I found this amoungst other recipes and people told me to use this. :) I use Skim Milk instead of Vanilla Yogurt and it was great.

    I used 1 banana and then poured milk up to the top and then I smoothied it. Then I added 2 teaspoons of sugar to it and then squirt whipped cream on top! delish!:)

    This recipe was really good... But I halved it. Using one banana, half a cup of 2% milk, and 1 1/2 cups of ice was plenty for me :)

    well, i tried the recipe and i thought it was okay but i think i've tasted better. then again this smoothie is my second favorite. if i were to rate this smoothie then i would give it a 4 out of 5. if i were to do this recipe again i would put cinamin in it. when i had my grandmas she put cinamin in it and it rocked the house try putting that in the smoothie recipe.

    It would be nice if they included calorie counts and nutrient info for their recipes. I've been making these for years and I use different flavored yogurts, or mix other frozen fruits (cherries are my favorite)and add vanilla and other flavorings.
