@Mesa Is your homework also to learn how to spell? Because it should be. But other than that, this is a great recipe and I recommend everyone to try this out. Nice to take out for a picnic.

Whole wheat bun, all natural PB and fruit spread. So don't fry the banana or use olive oil or something like Smart Balance. Skip the honey if you like, but a drizzle is always nice. I'm not sure why people think this isn't healthy.

We love to eat bananas on hot dog buns. We spread the sides with PB and drizzle honey on top. We do not do anything to the banana except peel it. We call it "Funny Lunch!"

I am going to use a long john donut and cut a slit in it length wise as the bun...forget that whole wheat business!

This sounds yummy! I've eaten PBJ & bananas on whole wheat for years, and this just kicked it up a notch! If you've never sauted a banana in a little butter before, you are in for a special treat! A fried banana is sweet enough that you don't need the honey. ;) So, don't knock it till you try it at least once...

Actually, sounds really fun and great! Kudos to you Fun Mom for moderation, which is key. however, apply heat to the banana will actually make the natural sugars caramelize, making it sweeter. the honey adds a crunch so that it doesnt fall apart into a goop. also, regular pbjs are no better than than (this is equally, or definitely better because sugars are natural). Go have some fun kids :)

Sounds yummmy! It's ok that it is fat and sugar, because I am a responsible parent and not a health food freak! It's ok to let your children have things like this in MODERATION!!

Doesn't sound very healthy. Fry banana in butter? Peanut butter, honey, jelly? Fat & sugar.

I think this would be an awesome recipe if the hotdog bun was switched out with something that actually go with bananas. For example: crepes Yes, bananas, crepes, peanutbutter and jelly. Sounds like a winner to me :-)
