I slice up bananas, lay them on wax paper on a tray, put in freezer, then transfer to a container. Better to freeze your own fresh fruit. Smoothie blenders are great b/c you can shake the smoothie container in between blends to blend real well.

This was WAY too thick when I used yogurt. I added a half a cup of Orange juice. I also added half an orange and two scoops of protein shake powder. This will make 3 smoothies. With these modifications it was delicious and smooth.

Very easy! Even the kids can make it...use frozen berries, I buy the variety of berries in a bag...strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries...works great!

Attempted my first smoothie. Very tasty, however, used vanilla yogurt and the bottom was a little thicker and better than the first few cups. I will stir a little prior to serving next time.

For all my smoothies I just freeze my brown spotted bananas or check the discount section for overripe ones and then put them right in the freezer. Keep them in the skin and then when you are going to make a smoothie, take out what you need and run under hot water to warm the skin and peel with a knife. Then break up and put in your blender and continue with the recipe. Just omit the ice!!!
